Communicable diseases, as one of the serious challenges of public health, have widespread impacts on society and national security, and have increased the need for special attention to the responsibilities of governments in managing these crises. In this article, the executive responsibility of the Islamic government in the field of preventing and treating communicable diseases and compensating for the losses caused by them is examined with a jurisprudential approach. First, the jurisprudential foundations related to protecting the life and health of society, including Quranic evidence, authenticity, and jurisprudential rules such as harmlessness, are explained, then the executive duties of the government in the areas of prevention, treatment, and compensation are analyzed. The findings of this research show that the Islamic government has an important and extensive duty in protecting public health, and the implementation of these responsibilities must be accompanied by respect for individual and social rights. Finally, this article helps to strengthen the role of the government in combating communicable diseases by providing practical suggestions for strengthening health policies based on jurisprudential teachings.Imami jurisprudence, government responsibility, infectious diseases, public health, do no harm rule
