This interstitial space is transient in nature and is accompanied by movement, orientation, and a specific destination. To understand the truth of the matter, there is no other way than to go from the surface to the depth. Whenever a person is in this interstitial space, he moves in a guided path towards a specific destination, which is referred to in this article as "connection". The purpose of the present study is to examine the concept of connection in the architecture of the interstitial space (case study: Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan). The present study is applied in terms of its purpose and qualitative-quantitative (mixed) in terms of its method, and in terms of data collection, this study can be considered a type of field research. Its analysis method is also using the space layout method, interview analysis using Project software, statistical analysis using SPSS software, and component analysis in the interstitial spaces of Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque in Isfahan. Based on the findings, the frequent interludes in the journey from the front of the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque to the dome house create a transformation in the audience, who restlessly prepares to reach the final destination, which is the connection to the truth of architecture that comes from the heart. انتقال از یک فضا به فضای دیگر از طریق فضایی میانجی صورت می‌گیرد که در این پژوهش به عنوان فضای بینابینی مطرح شده است. این فضای بینابینی ماهیتی گذرا دارد و با حرکت، جهت‌گیری و مقصد مشخصی همراه است. برای درک حقیقت موضوع، راهی جز عبور از سطح به عمق وجود ندارد. هر زمان که فرد در این فضای بینابینی قرار می‌گیرد، در مسیری هدایت‌شده به سوی مقصدی مشخص حرکت می‌کند که در این مقاله از آن به عنوان «وصال» یاد شده است. هدف از انجام پژوهش حاضر بررسی مفهوم وصال در معماری فضای بینابینی (مطالعه‌ی موردی: مسجد شیخ لطف الله اصفهان) می باشد. پژوهش حاضر از نظر هدف کاربردی و از نظر روش، کیفی- کمی (آمیخته) است و از حیث جمع‌آوری اطلاعات، می‌توان این تحقیق را نوعی تحقیق میدانی به حساب آورد. روش تحلیل آن نیز با استفاده از روش چیدمان فضا، تحلیل مصاحبه‌ها توسط نرم‌افزار پروتژه و تحلیل آماری توسط نرم‌افزار SPSS و آنالیز مؤلفه‌ها در فضاهای بینابینی مسجد شیخ لطف الله اصفهان است. بر اساس یافته ها بینابینی‌های مکرر در سیر مراتب از جلوخان مسجد شیخ لطف الله تا گنبدخانه در مخاطب تحولی ایجاد می‌کند که با بی‌قراری آماده‌ی رسیدن به مقصد نهایی که همان وصال به حقیقت معماری از دل برآمده است، می‌شود. http://www.jgeoqeshm.ir/article_217170_8b635c99dd20365ffba6f8f600fde9d2.pdf
