Contrary to classical conceptions that predominantly view space as a product of formal policymaking and the will of institutional powers, this study offers an alternative explanation of space production by emphasizing lived experience and community agency. Within this framework, space is regarded not merely as an objective context for action, but as a consequence of social relations, meaning, memory, and collective narrative. The research methodology is qualitative, based on conceptual analysis drawing upon theoretical sources in political geography, sociology of space, and philosophy of place. The findings are formulated around four independent conceptual axes: first, community as the identity-building context of space, wherein internal bonds, cultural memory, and place attachment give rise to identity-laden places; second, community as the mechanism of spatial meaning-making, which through cultural coding, language, ritual, and narrative, imbues space with social significance; third, community as a spatial agent and policymaker, capable of influencing spatial order through informal and horizontal structures; and fourth, community as the memory and history-maker of place, which through anchoring collective memory in the physical fabric of space, ensures historical continuity and cultural persistence. This research underscores the necessity of redefining the theoretical frameworks of political geography with a focus on the active role of community in space production, and proposes a conceptual model for transitioning from authority-centered approaches toward a community-centered reading of space. <span lang="AR-SA">پژوهش حاضر با رویکردی نظری و مفهومی، بر آن است تا جایگاه اجتماع را به‌عنوان واحد بنیادین در فرایند تولید فضای جغرافیایی بازخوانی کند. برخلاف تلقی‌های کلاسیک که فضا را عمدتاً محصول سیاست‌گذاری‌های رسمی و اراده قدرت‌های نهادی می‌دانند، این تحقیق با تأکید بر تجربه زیسته و کنشگری اجتماع، تبیینی بدیل از تولید فضا ارائه می‌دهد. در این چارچوب، فضا نه فقط بستر عینی برای کنش، بلکه خود به‌مثابه پیامد روابط اجتماعی، معنا، حافظه و روایت جمعی تلقی می‌شود. روش تحقیق، کیفی و مبتنی بر تحلیل مفهومی با اتکای بر منابع نظری در جغرافیای سیاسی، جامعه‌شناسی فضا و فلسفه مکان است</span><span lang="FA">. </span><span lang="AR-SA">یافته‌های تحقیق در چهار محور مفهومی مستقل صورت‌بندی شده‌اند: نخست، اجتماع به‌مثابه بستر هویت‌ساز فضا که در آن، پیوندهای درونی، حافظه فرهنگی و تعلق مکان، موجب شکل‌گیری مکان‌های هویت دار می‌گردند؛ دوم، اجتماع به‌مثابه سازوکار معناپذیری فضا که با رمزگذاری فرهنگی، زبان، آیین و روایت، به فضا معنای اجتماعی می‌بخشد؛ سوم، اجتماع به‌مثابه بازیگر فضاساز و سیاست‌گذار که قادر است از طریق ساختارهای غیررسمی و افقی، بر سامان فضایی تأثیر بگذارد؛ و چهارم، اجتماع به‌مثابه حافظه و تاریخ‌ساز مکان که از طریق تثبیت خاطره جمعی در کالبد فضا، پیوستگی تاریخی و تداوم فرهنگی را تضمین می‌کند. این پژوهش، بر ضرورت بازتعریف چارچوب‌های نظری جغرافیای سیاسی با تمرکز بر نقش فعال اجتماع در تولید فضا تأکید دارد و الگویی مفهومی برای عبور از رویکردهای اقتدار محور به‌سوی خوانش اجتماع‌محور از فضا پیشنهاد می‌دهد</span><span lang="FA">. </span> http://www.jgeoqeshm.ir/article_246112_1acde284a4057e6b1061878a8cc4d458.pdf
