In order to protect the environment and, consequently, to recognize the legal entities of public law that are the biggest cause of destruction and destruction of the environment, there is a serious vacuum in the law, while the most important and dangerous crimes are committed by legal entities of public law. At their disposal commits. Examining the laws of Iran in Article 688 of the Islamic Penal Code, we find that a general article has been enacted that can be considered as environmental crimes in the general sense. Although the responsibility of legal persons is not explicitly mentioned in this article, Article The liability of legal persons can also be imposed. However, in the Iranian legal system, environmental criminal liability for legal crimes is accepted in a limited and scattered manner in other criminal liability laws of legal entities and no mention is made of the type of legal entity. The findings of this study, which are based on the analytical-descriptive method and the use of library tools and taking notes, show that according to domestic law and international documents such as the Stockholm Conference, the 1946 Geneva Quartet and other documents mentioned in the dissertation. It has been pointed out that legal entities, including legal entities of public law and private law, have criminal and civil liability in environmental crimes, and for these crimes, various punishments, including financial and non-financial crimes, have been considered.
