General Considerations for Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all article information throughout the review process. Reviews must be conducted anonymously:

Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts in a timely, transparent, and ethical manner and assist the editorial team in determining whether the manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected.
Reviewers’ recommendations on submitted manuscripts must be provided through the designated evaluation forms and in the comment sections addressed to both the author and the editor.
Reviewers must refrain from evaluating manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest and should promptly disclose any such conflicts to the editorial office.
Reviewers’ assessments of manuscript quality and content should be based on professional expertise and objective judgment.

Guidelines for Peer Reviewers

Role and Responsibility: Peer reviewers assist the Editor in the qualitative, content, and scientific evaluation of manuscripts. Through constructive communication with the Editorial Board and authors, reviewers play a vital role in enhancing the quality and integrity of published research.

Acceptance of Review Invitations: As the peer review process is fundamental to the acceptance of a manuscript, reviewers should only accept an invitation if they possess the requisite subject matter expertise. Furthermore, reviewers must ensure they can complete the evaluation within the specified timeframe. If a manuscript falls outside the reviewer's field of specialization or if the deadline cannot be met, the invitation should be declined promptly.

Confidentiality: Reviewers must treat all manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. Any information obtained during the review process must not be disclosed to others or used for personal gain. All data, arguments, and findings contained within the manuscript remain the exclusive property of the authors until publication.

Conflict of Interest: Reviewers are responsible for adhering to the principle of non-conflict of interest. If a reviewer identifies a potential conflict of interest regarding a manuscript under consideration or in press, they must immediately decline the review and notify the Editor. This includes disclosing any professional, financial, or personal relationships that could compromise objectivity or lead to perceived abuse of the process.

Plagiarism and Duplicate Publication: Reviewers should scrutinize the references and sources cited within the manuscript. All research, citations, and borrowed materials must be accompanied by complete and accurate bibliographic references. Additionally, reviewers must inform the Editorial Office if they detect significant similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under review and any other published or unpublished work.

Timeliness: Reviewers are expected to submit their recommendations regarding the publication status of a manuscript by the agreed-upon deadline. While unforeseen delays may occur, reviewers must notify the Editor immediately if an extension is required and propose a revised submission date.

Objectivity and Quality of Review: Reviews must be grounded in sufficient scientific evidence and clear reasoning. Comments should be constructive and explicitly communicated to the Editor and authors. Reviewers must refrain from expressing subjective preferences or allowing personal, racial, religious, or political biases to influence their evaluation.
