Geography and Regional Planning (GRP) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Qeshm Higher Education Institute. Guided by a commitment to knowledge excellence and impactful research, GRP serves as a platform for advancing the interdisciplinary sciences of geography, spatial planning, and sustainable development. The journal focuses on critical analyses of urban, rural, and regional challenges within Iran, while also engaging with global discourses on territorial organization, environmental management, socio-spatial justice, and resilient community design. Qeshm Higher Education Institute with the approach of knowledge excellence and research in order to promote the sciences of planning and sustainable development and analysis of issues of cities, villages, and residential areas of the country, with the permission of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology has published the Journal of Geography and Regional Planning, which is published in the 4th year. Based on the vote of the Commission for Reviewing the Validity of the country's scientific journals, dated 2/27/2012 to letter number 3/53021, Journal of Geography and Regional Planning was recognized as eligible for scientific research.
This journal is published following the Memorandum of Understanding concluded with the scientific cooperation of the Iranian Association of Geopolitics.
