Components and indicators of identifying phenomenological concepts of place in the architectural design process

Abstract
Phenomenology is a descriptive, not deterministic or inferential, issue. Phenomenology attempts to show the basic forms of experience and understanding in terms of what can be experienced and understood, rather than hypothesizing or inferring beyond their limits. The aim of the research is to examine the components and indicators of identifying phenomenological concepts of place in the architectural design process. The present research method is qualitative and question-oriented. The research sources were collected using library resources and by collecting information and taking notes on materials related to the research title. Based on the research results, it can be said that factors such as mental perception, individual worldview, religion, coloring and decoration of the place, individual feelings, and the past of the place in the cultural dimension are effective in identifying the components and indicators of the phenomenon of place. Also, in other temporal dimensions, factors such as the duration of residence, in the spatial dimension, factors such as the type of materials used in architecture, in the interpersonal dimension, the needs and desires of other people, as well as the culture of the people with whom one lives, play a very important role in shaping the sense of belonging to the space. Therefore, it can be said that the components and indicators related to the phenomenological perspective have an impact on the concept of place.
