Analysis on Healthy city approach and its indicators, Case study: Shiraz

Abstract

It is predicted that by 2030, the population of urban areas will grow to about 3.3 billion people of which about 90 percent will be in urban areas of developing countries. Scholars believe the city is a living organism, dynamic and human-centered is to have a healthy city requires long-term planning is felt. Healthy Cities approach to uncontrolled urban development and to provide favorable conditions of life for today's generation and future generations were raised and in the mid-1980s, has become a widespread movement for healthier viability in urban settlements in global scope. The research method is descriptive and analytical based on official data. The Type of research is applied. For ranking of neighborhoods and urban areas of the first technique is used. The results of fuzzy clustering areas of the city due to the scattering anisotropy parameters healthy city and healthy city status indicators in the entirety of the city. Districts 1, 3 and 6 in the first cluster, 4 and 5 in the second cluster, 2 and 8 in the third cluster, cluster 7 and 9 in the fourth and fifth cluster area 10 in fall. Urban management to budget more for these areas is intended to offset part of these shortcomings. It is recommended for New Urbanism policies to be pursued simultaneously by the city managers that has a focus On public transport Development Goals healthy development of walking and cycling paths, public Compression and combines user-friendly, with the aim of increasing economic and social activity and increase employment, reduce the cost of urban sprawl and On the political side should also strengthen civil rights and social justice by popular volunteer groups and civil society and civil society be followed.
