The effect of the construction of second houses on the types of pollution and adverse environmental consequences (Case study of Ardakan city of Fars and surrounding villages)

Abstract

Ardakan tourist city hosts tens of thousands of tourists every year due to its natural attractions, pleasant climate and abundant gardens.Meanwhile, many of these tourists tend to spend more time in the pleasant environment of the city and fulfill this desire by building or renting a house for a long time. These houses are called second homes.Such houses are usually located in sparsely populated areas, villages or small towns and are used for recreational purposes, they are also called weekend houses and holiday homes. In this research, the second houses and its effects on agricultural use have been studied. The results showed that based on field surveys and the study of statistics of various real estate companies in the city, most garden transactions in Ardakan, ie 80% of transactions by non-natives and only 20% of garden transactions are related to natives.The results of these field studies show that almost all gardens purchased by non-natives are turned into houses, gardens and villas, which are used as second homes by the owners. It shows that there is a significant relationship between the construction of second homes in Ardakan and environmental and ecological changes in this city that need to be considered in future management plans of this city.
