Abstract
The Iranian capital's Periurban is managed by various governmental and non-governmental organizations, each having its own rules and regulations. Despite the excessive growth of the Peri-urban of the Iranian capital and its fungus-like space, we can say that the management system governing this area has not grown properly and that the level of services provided has declined despite the increased number of institutions administering this city. One of the most important methods of futures research is identification and analysis of the trends affecting the integrated management of the Iranian capital's Peri-urban, which is the main focus of this article. Accordingly, the aim of this article is to identify the macrotrends affecting the future of the integrated management of the Iranian capital's Peri-urban. Using the desk-based and documentary research method, we identified a list of key trends affecting the integrated management of the capital's Peri-urban, and then, using futures research and structure analysis methods, we designed a cross impact matrix. By analyzing the data using MICMAC software, we identified the degree to which each variable influenced and was influenced by other variables, based on which trends such as the continued influence of the political economy of space as ecological segregation and the institutionalization of poverty, focus in the process of decision-making for various issues related to Peri-urban, expertise and communication between different policy-making and executive organizations in various issues of Peri-urban had the greatest influence on the integrated management of the capital's Periurban.
