Abstract
In the 21st century, with the global growth of industry and economy, countries have turned to globalization and regionalism discussions to enhance interactions and achieve sustainable economic development. The Islamic Republic of Iran, due to extensive sanctions from the United States and the COVID-19 pandemic which has reduced global transactions, is seeking to increase regional convergence based on interactive geoeconomics. In this context, the Eurasian region, as a relatively independent area with high economic potential, has received special attention. This research utilizes documentary and library methods, including the analysis of scientific articles, internet data, and information from various organizations, to examine the Eurasian region and the Eurasian Economic Union as an active organization in this area. Additionally, the Anzali Free Zone is studied as an influential region in developing relations with Eurasia. The findings of this research indicate that the Eurasian region has significant economic potentials that can aid in the development of Iran’s economic relations. Data suggest that increasing interactions with this region not only strengthens Iran’s economic infrastructure but can also lead to sustainable convergence in various social, cultural, and economic domains. The results obtained from this research indicate that enhancing economic interactions and regional cooperation with Eurasia can significantly assist in the geoeconomic development of Iran. This convergence can create new economic opportunities and improve the country’s economic situation, ultimately leading to sustainable development in Iran.
