Abstract
The Islamic Revolution of Iran is the most important contemporary Islamic movement that is considered a symbol of Islamism in the present era. This revolution was a movement that, due to its unique characteristics, surprised all thinkers and appeared as a mystery to analysts. Islamic beliefs, leadership, and institutions have played an important role in Middle Eastern politics. As it can be said, the history and beliefs of Shiite Islam were the foundation of the ideology of the Islamic Revolution and one of its most important roots. On the other hand, after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the discussion of the export of the revolution and the impact of the Islamic Revolution of Iran on Islamic societies became prominent. This research seeks to answer the question of what is the geopolitical perspective of civilizations and Iran's position in the formation of a new Islamic civilization. This research was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and in a library format. The results of the research showed that the values and doctrinal principles of Islam caused Iran's geopolitical position to react to the existing situation and create the Islamic Revolution of Iran. On the other hand, the Islamic Revolution of Iran, by giving importance and priority to Islam, reviving Islamic identity and awakening Muslims, as well as empowering Muslims at the national and international levels, has led to the formation of the foundations of a new Islamic civilization in the Middle East.
