Abstract

Abstract
The present study seeks to explore the role of modern information and communication technologies (ICT) in the development of tourism in religious places in Iran. Different approaches and models are from the views of citizens of Tehran introduced and then these views are used. This research is applicable in terms of purpose, in terms of data type is quantitative and in terms of data collection uses descriptive and correlation method. The statistical population of the present study is Tehran citizens. A simple random sampling method is used. Reliability and validity of the questionnaire are also assessed and validated using the experts' viewpoints and Cronbach's alpha test. In the next step, based on the conceptual model of the research, the research questions and hypotheses are questioned by a researcher-made questionnaire on items in the statistical sample of the research. In the descriptive section, descriptive data in two parts of the underlying variables and main variables are presented using absolute frequency, relative frequency, mean, standard deviation and variance in tables.
