Abstract
Issues related to women and their role in the development process are among the topics that have attracted the attention of development theorists in recent years. Although the methods of addressing this issue differ based on the perception of women's position in development, this role is still emphasized based on scientific findings.

Today, one of the most important criteria for measuring the degree of development of a country is the importance and prestige that women have in that country. Because for the realization of social development, acceleration of the economic development process, environmental protection and realization of social justice, if women are viewed as an active and constructive force, it will definitely have a great impact on the process of sustainable development and the quantitative and qualitative increase of the human resource of that society. The role of women in development is directly related to the goal of social and economic development and is therefore considered a fundamental factor in the transformation of all human societies. The role of women as half of the world's active population in the development process has not been given the attention it should have, and therefore efforts have been launched around the world to compensate for this neglect. Gender mainstreaming in the development process has raised various principles such as welfare, equality, poverty alleviation, efficiency and empowerment of women.
