Prioritizing effective factors in the development of rural tourism in Ilam province using the VIKOR method

Abstract
Ilam province has the best tourist villages in the field of tourism. The development of tourism in these villages, apart from having a relatively long history, is very intense and crowded; Especially in certain seasons of the year. Therefore, the current research has been carried out with the aim of prioritizing the effective factors in the development of rural tourism in Ilam province using the VIKOR method. The approach of this research is mixed exploratory (qualitative-quantitative). The method of collecting information in this research is library and field. In the qualitative stage, the number of 15 experts was selected by snowball method, and in the quantitative stage, the number of 384 heads of rural households was determined using Cochran's formula and stratified sampling method as the sample size. The research questionnaire was developed by the researcher and confirmed with Cronbach's alpha reliability of 0.93. The findings indicated that 5 main categories and 20 sub-categories were identified as effective factors in the development of rural tourism in Ilam province. Also, the results showed that, by using the vikor technique, sufficient monitoring and effective control levers regarding improvement, repair and maintenance have won the first rank. Business boom with the development of commercial tourism and education and generalization of communication methods in tourism areas are ranked second and the ideology governing the society (beliefs, convictions) in the formation of types of tourism have won the third rank.
