The purpose of this study is to analyze the environmental risk of air pollution in Tehran. The research is an applied research based on statistical data from 2007 to 2018. For comparative measurement and comparison of air pollutants in Tehran, air quality index and annual standards related to pollutants were used. The risk assessment method was the three-variable model of William Fine. The results showed that the average annual concentrations of two particulate pollutants (PM2.5 and PM10) were higher than the standard in all years and the three pollutants of nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and carbon monoxide had a variable trend and ozone compared to the year of origin. , Has a better situation. On the other hand, the probability of air pollution risk in Tehran is relatively high and a score of 5 is recorded for it. Also; regarding the amount of exposure to indicator pollutants, a score of 6, which indicates several times a week and between 6 to 8 hours, and the rate of outcome has a score of 6. In general, it can be said that the environmental risk rating of air pollution in the city of Tehran is 180, which indicates the state of emergency and "moderate risk level" and it is necessary to pay attention as soon as possible. In order to reduce air pollution in Tehran, it is necessary to take the necessary measures based on the principles of sustainable urban development.
