Research is a correlation research and, in terms of purpose, an applied research. The research method is a survey method. The data gathering tool was a researcher-made questionnaire and was developed using the Likert spectrum. The purpose of the present study was to determine the effect of environmental perception of residents aged 30-69 on the formation of residential houses in the Hussein Abad neighborhood of Shiraz. To answer the main research question (how residents' perception of the environment affects the type of formation of housing types). The confidence level was set at 400, with a probability level of 95%, a 5% probability error, and with the assumption that 50% of the population respond equally. In a simple randomized sampling method, a questionnaire with 20 items was distributed and distributed. The questionnaire was analyzed using SPSS software version 24. The method of testing and examining the assumptions of the research was using Student's (T), Pearson correlation and Regresson. Reliability of this questionnaire was confirmed by Cronbach's Alpha 0.905. The present paper seeks to identify the factors affecting environmental perception, to map the correlation between this important and the spatial factors of housing in the form of an analytical model for the final answer to the main research question. The results of this research indicate that qualitative factors such as differentiation and readability, accessibility and permeability, diversity and dynamism of functions, safety and security, readability, natural environment, comfort with an amount of 0.912 have an effective role in the formation of housing types Play. Therefore, the most important assumptions that lead us to the direction of this research and to answer the main uestion are:- Perception of inhabitants from the environment (psychological factors) seems to affect the type of housing formation.- Perception of inhabitants from the environment (qualitative factors) seems to affect the type of housing formation.- It seems that the perception of inhabitants from the environment (cultural factors) influences the type of housing formation.
