In the field of functional structural growth and development of cities, various points of view have been presented, which shows the extent and complexity of the city and its related issues, and this shows the dynamic characteristic of the city. One of the important goals of these theories is to achieve spatial justice. However, until now, a single definition of the concept of spatial justice in urban planning has not been provided. This issue shows the dependence of this concept on the social, political and worldview conditions of each society. The main goal of this research is to discover a formulation of the concept of spatial justice based on the opinions of thinkers in urban planning, and on the other hand, it looks for its role in the process of urban development. In this research, the logical reasoning method was used in the explanatory part and the descriptive-analytical method was used in the evaluation part. Documentary and library methods have also been used to collect research data. From the examination of the theoretical foundations, it is argued that spatial balance is an important and essential indicator that its role in the quality of life is not paid much attention to, and the correlation between spatial justice and urban development does not exist or is minimal.
