[English]

according to the considerable portion of iran in the hot and dry climate and the amount of solar radiation absorption, internal temperature comfort supplier systems have a major contribution to energy consumption in different parts of the building. Natural ventilation is one of the most important determinants of indoor thermal temperature. In this paper, experimental and numerical researches to measure the effects of natural ventilation on thermal comfort inside mosques are introduced and Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is selected as a case study of this study due to its formal and functional similarity with contemporary mosques and its location in hot and dry climate. And was modeled using Design Builder simulation software. Then, in order to evaluate the thermal performance of the temperature distribution by computational fluid dynamics (CFD), the simulation results were validated using field measurements. The parameters studied in this study were air velocity, relative humidity and dry air temperature. The results showed that in the absence of necessary arrangements for natural ventilation leads to limited air circulation, unfavorable thermal conditions for worshipers and will cause dissatisfaction of worshipers. Therefore, the need for ventilation of mosque windows to improve thermal comfort was investigated and the use of natural ventilation led to a decrease in air temperature by 2.6 °C and an increase in indoor air speed by 0.77 m/s and the index It brought the thermal temperature to a better position in the range of Ashrae 55 and ISO 7730 standards.
