The city of Yazd is one of the cities that, despite its development and expansion, has still preserved its old parts, which today constitute the historical fabric, in its heart. This city consisted of various structures, the most important of which were the neighborhoods. However, various factors can be considered involved in the formation and development of the city and, accordingly, the structure of the neighborhoods. The religious structure of the city consisted of various mosques and tombs, which can be called Jame Mosque as the main part of this structure, which was located in the center of the city. This caused Chaharsouk market, the most important economic center of the city, to be built next to it during the Al-Muzaffar period, which itself caused changes in the neighborhoods. The educational structure consisted of various schools, some of which were part of a larger complex. These schools, along with public buildings, had a great impact in shaping the structure of the neighborhoods and created changes within them. The existence of towers and walls in the city had caused the neighborhoods to be divided into two parts outside the fence and inside the fence, which, with its expansion, added to the area of the neighborhoods inside the fence. The most important source of water supply for the city was numerous aqueducts that made access possible through aqueducts and reservoirs, and many mills used them, and some neighborhoods were formed through them. As a result, it can be said that different structures were involved in the formation and development of Yazd city, such as religious, economic, educational structures, various collections, etc., and each of them caused the formation and development of a part of the city.
