Investigating the position of the West in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey in the form of indicators such as the way international alliances are formed, the extent of the influence of norms on foreign policy, how to define and secure international interests, the assessment of the symmetry of threats and capabilities, and finally the degree of compatibility of each country with international developments. It is included in the agenda of this research. The West as a collective identity and a security complex regulating the structures of the international system; It is one of the most important external variables influencing the political, economic, military and normative foreign policy trends and approaches of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey. The aim of this article is to compare the position of the West in the functions and achievements of the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey. This research has analyzed the systemic variables in the foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Turkey by using a combination of constructivist theories and comparative studies of foreign policy
